The SoftRight Pro Story
Softright Pro LTD, created by John Steele in 1998, is the only Oregon Liquor Point-Of-Sale system designed and developed with a decade of experience from day one. John Steele, for nearly ten years, led the development and support team for the OLCC’s POS system. He has a deep understanding of the needs of Oregon liquor agents. Back in 1998, when the OLCC was phasing out their system, a number of liquor agents encouraged John to re-develop the OLCC system for private sale. His background made him uniquely qualified to understand and meet liquor agents’ needs, and it was their input that helped guide many of the SoftSell features. That same determination to meet the needs of liquor agents continues today. In a way, you might say liquor agents help create Softright Pro.
As OLCC requirements and agent needs have evolved so too has Softright’s lead product: SoftSell POS. SoftSell is used by some of the largest liquor stores in Oregon, and some of the smallest. SoftSell can scale to meet the needs for major markets such as Portland and Eugene and still be cost effective in communities like Long Creek and Unity. John strongly believes that a key to excellent support is single source. Softright stands behind both hardware and software. Call one number to get support, period.
The future is exciting as All-In-One touch screen, more Web-aware applications, and generalized retail applications start appearing in the Softright Pro stable of products. Softright is the place to consider first when thinking about Oregon liquor Point-Of-Sale or general retail products.
